After trying several high dollar brands of shin guards, this is what I ended up using full time. They are super lightweight and comfortable for a full day of umpiring even in the heat. They do no limit mobility and I forget I have them one most of the time!

Well made. Protect well. elastic straps (2 on each) work well, however they do annoy the back of the legs a little when its hot.the knee protector is a bit oversized. They are easy on and are lightweight. I would recommend.

These work nicely. This is my first pair with only 2 straps and I do like them. They are light as a feather and do what they are designed to do. I use these for 8-18 year olds and have not had a single issue. The only thing I will say is you need to tighten them up to keep them in place on your shin. My first game with them and I had them too loose and they shifted a bit. I have since tightened them down and no movement. I'm short at about 5' 9" and went with the 17 inch and they fit perfect. I had 15 and they were too small.

I have used these for several months now at every level from youth to High School to Semi-Pro. I am very pleased with their appearance, comfort and performance. They are so light-weight and comfortable that I find myself double-checking to make sure I didn't forget to put them on! They clean-up easily and look close to new after dozens of wearings. I have taken the usual variety of passed-ball/foul-ball shots and the protection level is more than adequate. I am a fan! Since I wear high-top plate shoes I use these without the extension which is easily removable/replaceable.

I bought these as an addition to my heavy diamond pair (don't remember what my other ones are). These are light weight but not as protective as my other pair. I've worn these these for lower level games, 11u's, and they are fine, especially the heat but I wouldn't wear them for anything older or anything above recreational leagues. Don't wear short sock's with them as the velcro that attaches the toe part will scratch your ankle unless your plate shoes are higher. I like the two steps placements for my short legs but they tend to twist around the leg legend have to be readjusted a few times during a game.

Wish I bought these years ago. Used my old catchers gear for way to long. These are hard, lightweight and very comfortable with only 1 strap behind the knee, and one ankle area. Taken a few knuckle balls off these this season and hardly felt a thing. Seems like less knee pain somehow. Easy squeeze clips great ankle coverage make these top notch!

Great leg guard's, very light, very comfortable, and easy to put in place after your slacks are already on. no top strap means no binding under knees. as a little league umpire that is usually by himself, i tend to run a little more to get to a call, these move around very little as i move. wish i had bought them sooner.

Other than the Gerry Davis Mask.....this is the best article of Umpire gear I have ever owned. I take a wide stance at the plate as Davis does and these do the trick at any level. Light weight....I don't even remember they are on....can easily be put on without removing my slacks. Top notch product! Thanks Diamond and Amazon!
