Does not come with base blocks. Make sure you have your own. Other than, it is okay in durability. I have first graders, so it is used during centers with only a few playing at a time. Should be wooden or plastic and not foam.

It’s very flimsy and bent out of shape from the place holders being put in and out.

Great to use with an elementary aged child to be sure they understand the importance of Place Value and Regrouping when they are learning arithmetic! Wonder if your child really understands what all this means? Buy this set and teach him yourself so he really understands. Then he can build on these concepts and understand more complex math concepts! Very sturdy (if you insist that the child handles the manipulatives carefully)! The bright colors help children learn Place Value clearly! Very helpful for tutoring and abstract concept visualization!

I LOVE the idea of this for supporting maths numbering understanding. However, you are only buying the frame and foam numbers so need to buy the cubes and inserts separately. This comes from China so takes a couple of weeks to arrive. You have to force the hard plastic cubes into the soft foam frame so this slows learning and enjoyment somewhat. However, the principal is fantastic, I just don't think they've nailed the finish. I would recommend as its still a great resource, but wanted to highlight the quality and missing components so you don't make the same mistake I did.

This is seriously overpriced. It was quite shocking to open up the parcel and see just a foam frame with the white numbers only.

This is awesome for teaching children place values and how to add/subtract three-digit numbers.

Virtual learning at home with our young boy (1st grade). This was a much needed item and helped with understanding places. A must for teachers and at home teachers!

I bought this for my classroom calendar. It works great. It is flat so I placed push pins (thumbtacks) under so they don’t fall out. You can also put painters tape under the base 10 blocks to help keep in place. It does not come with the base 10 blocks. This is a great visual for K-2.

Cannot use this product with 'standard base ten blocks' as the description says. It also is made of foam and seems not very durable. This purchase was a waste of money because I cannot use it - it is way too small for the blocks.
