I originally bought a cheap one from a PJ trainer and it was junk. So I really wanted something like this with the tungsten guide and it works perfect! I do have a great tip for you, since the metal dust is toxic to breathe in. I took a piece of clear packing tape and put it on the top so it catches the dust when you use it and you can still see what you’re doing. I had started with using a fine filtered mask but cannot stand wearing them. This thing holds a charge well also. It was a good purchase for me!

Product still works but your going to have to use the size up for your tungsten. Meaning the 3/32 will have to be used in the 1/8 hole.Light pressure or you'll bog it down. It will do the job if your tungsten is just needing to be sharpened or cleaned up slightly.Wouldn't recommend this to welders starting out TIG welding.

decent but.... doesn't help when you have a balled up and can't cut it off or fit it into the holes like the sharpie , but it is 300 cheaper, but i'm a novice welder and balled up is my jam lol

Use in TIG classes & at home. Saves me from having to run across the classroom to resharpen or hand cut contaminated tungsten, which saves me time (and aggravation). A full charge lasts about 3 weeks with moderate to use, & charging time is fast (about an hour). Would like more angles, or ability to get different/replacement inserts. Mainly using 2.4mm Tungsten. The variable speed, cutting slot are great, each diamond wheel last a good while. Works fantastic for me, portable, easy to use, worthwhile investment for me.

I started out just looking for an attachment for my Dremel to help grind electrodes for tig welding. I found that for not much more $$ than the attachment I was looking for, I could buy an entire cordless hand grinder with the grinding fixture. I was honestly skeptical about what I'd get, but decided I'd give this a try.To my surprise this grinder has turned out to be really impressive! It feels solid and substantial in your hand and has plenty of grinding power (which I was skeptical about for a rechargeable grinder). I haven't used it to grind tungsten electrodes as I intended, but I have used it as a hand grinder. So far, It doesn't give anything up to my Dremel corded grinder. I have no doubt I'll be able to grind my tungsten electrodes properly for welding.

Works perfect indeed. Well priced and much required for welding.
