Original review 3/11/2024:The title says it all. Emptied my boat tank pretty quickly into several 5 gallon gas cans to put it into vehicles. Filled a 5 gallon can in just a few minutes pulling from the small fuel line that feeds the engine. No leaks whatsoever. The gas pump style nozzle fits fine into a modern gas fuel filler neck (I read some reviews that said the nozzle was too large). This is now a part of my Florida hurricane kit since I can now easily tap into my boat for generator gas. This is my review after one single use. I do wonder if the seals in it will stand up to gas exposure and if it will still work in a few weeks/months/years. I will update if it fails. On a side note, I think it was worth buying just to drain my tank. I was unable to use my boat much over the last year or so and the gas was getting old. If old gas were to harm my boat or motor, the mechanic would surely charge many times as much to fix it.Update 4/16/2024:This made quick/easy/clean work of putting 40 gallons of gas into my boat. I have some big racing style gas cans that accommodate the filter end of the suction line nicely. I would let the pump run for about a minute to empty most of the first can, then I would empty the other gas cans into the initial gas can as it continued to pump into the boat. The pump was able to easily keep up. The gas pump style nozzle filled the boat's tank nicely (my boat's gas tank burps when I try to dump gas in it directly from a gas can which results in a sudden unavoidable overflow). After I added the fresh gas, I attached the pump's inlet to the fuel line that feeds the motor and pumped fuel from that right back into the tank. This quickly purged the older gas from the fuel lines/filters and dropped it right back in the tank. The boat fired right up and runs like a champ. As previously stated, I will absolutely update this review if/when the pump fails. I am moving my boat to a lift this summer and will be filling it with gas cans regularly. The money I will save not buying marina fuel will also help this pump pay for itself. LOVE it so far!

Had to defuel my 34 gallon boat fuel tank, because of water intrusion. Pumped about 22 gallons out of the tank and into a 55 gallon drum. At one point, I stopped the transfer because I saw no bubbles to indicate fuel was flowing - it WAS flowing. All fuel was transferred within several minutes - I wish I had timed it. I especially appreciate the inclusion of a ground wire to make sure no static electricity built up in any of the components. Only problem was finding 1" ID hoses, but I ordered those off Amazon. Make sure you connect the ground wire connected to the pump to a separate ground point. The instructions do no mention this.
