A friend was the first person I knew who purchased one of these little guys, when they first started appearing. I was a bit sceptical, but now I understand their value. When cutting on a table saw or with a miter saw, you can get an ACCURATE setting FAST!. You tell the angle finder what is "level" - as like the base of your table saw or miter saw. Next you just stick the unit onto your saw blade and adjust your blade angle until it hits - say - 45 degrees. Lock and load - you now are "dead nuts" on 45 degrees. Not what the tiny scale on your saw says is 45 degrees, but an extremely accurate 45 degrees relative to the saws base. It does not get more accurate nor easier than that!I had the device (by Lasgoo - love the name!) on for most of the day, and it was always ready to go. In all fairness, it does drop into "sleep mode" after about 10 minutes, but it should be good for at least a full days work. I mean, how many times in a day do you need to adjust your blade angle?!I did not think I would like the rechargeable batteries, but the USB0-C port is well protected, and it works.A single side has magnets, and although they sit below the surface, they are strong enough to support the unit on a vertical surface without falling off.I don't recall how my friends unit worked, but this one requires one push to turn on, a long press on the "unit" button, then a short press, reposition the unit 180 degrees and another short press. I'm getting used to it, and I suppose there is a lot of calculations the little guy is doing, but I don't seem to recall my friend having to this kind of set-up. Regardless, this works great! The display is sharp and clear. It has that slight blue/green cast to the background, but it is also lit, so in darker locations, you can see the display very easily. The numbers are about 5/8" in size. That's great for me!Although the exterior is a hard plastic, there are cutouts one each side, which really helps keeping a grip on the unit.I guess it is to be expected, but there is no rattle or any sort of sound, as you work with the unit.Bottom Line - A very effective and accurate way to quickly get your angles right. It can display its findings in four different ways, but the "feet/inches" is not useful - at least to me. I don't use fractions of an inch in a decimal scale. I'm going with mm, anyway. Being Canadian, and all!Good unit! NO problems at all!

Works great, and feels solid! Easy to use and came fully charged. Magnets could be stronger. Highly recommend!

This simple device identify angles of different surfaces or check for level surfaces with a light up digital display. Three button operation:POWER (⏻)• Long press the power button to turn on or turn off.• Short press the power button while turned on to switch from absolute to reference angles. The reference operation will zero out the current angle is rotated, then when rotated further will display the difference between both angles.HOLD• Press to lock the current angle reading.UNIT• Short press to switch measurement units—degrees (°), percent (%), mm/m, in/ft• Long press for calibration setting. View manual for instructions. The accuracy ±0.2°. This means that measurements could vary up or down within a 0.4° range. This is acceptable for most applications, but good to be aware of if setting cut angles on a miter or table saw.
