2000 Counts TRMS Clamp Meter

NCV Detection

One of my biggest things I expect in a product is if you need a very specific tool to access an item on the product in this case what are supposed to be replaceable batteries then it's not well thought out for the customer. In this case you need a very very tiny Philips head screwdriver to get the battery panel open. This could be alleviated by making it a snap battery panel instead of screw in panel.The design is very very small and compact which is nice compared to others however the quality of the material is lacking and it has already cracked on the body from an accidental drop at work 2 feet above ground.It's accuracy is debatable I'm not sure if it's not well insulated from interference or not but I will get blips and jumps along with it will read some things differently compared to my co-workers tools that all read the same.I wouldn't suggest this item in general and would say pay a little bit more for a better product unless you're looking to do very minor work.

It functions as I expected, I found no problems. I saw in someone else review that the NCV did not work, I put mine up to a power outlet and it worked. It came with batteries. The battery cover was easy to remove and put back on.What I like about this is that I can use every button and switch on it with only one hand, left handed or right handed.

I have a few multi meters laying around but I always seem to need an extra one somewhere. I got this one to leave in my car. I tried out a few of the basic things and they all worked as they should. This is a good sixed one. Not too small but no too big either. I The clamp works great for clamping it somewhere out of the way as you use it. The leads on this one is pretty decent too. I really like this one comes in a case to keep it all in. It is not a real fancy high end one but it does most everything the average person needs and more. The little bit I have used it, it has done great. No complaints about anything so far.

I cannot give this a really in depth review as I'm not very electrically knowledgeable. I bought this meter mainly for testing voltages on batteries and for checking continuity. It performs these function quite well. I like that it came with a set of batteries and a case to hold the meter cables and probes. I also like that the screen is backlit, which helps to take readings when the ambient light is dim.I cannot even fathom how to use the clamp function, so I cannot comment regarding that. Also, something new to me in regards to this meter is that when I am set for DC voltage, the meter readings are all over the place when the probes are just sitting there connected to nothing. Although, as soon as I connect to a battery for instance I get a steady non-fluctuating reading. None of my previous meters were auto-ranging, so maybe that's why the meter is taking readings of the air... I truly don't know. For what I'm doing, the bare basics, the meter works fine.

For an economic choice in a multimeter, I'm impressed at the accuracy for both AC and DC voltage and for resistance. The unit is fairly small/compact, and I especially like the way the test leads plug into the BOTTOM of the unit. All my other multimeters have typical inputs, where the leads stick out of the case in an awkward way. It never dawned on me that such a simple relocation of the input jacks could make such a great ergonomic change in the unit. I don't usually remove my leads, I always leave them attached, and this bottom connection design will help reduce potential damages to the unit.By being plugged into the bottom, however, you can't stand the unit up in a stand mode like you would a regular multimeter, but as a CLAMP meter, that's pretty unimportant. Although this isn't a bench meter, I'll definitely use it as such. The rotary power switch and function selector feels robust.The ONLY thing I didn't like so far, is that for continuity testing, you use the rotary switch, but to get audible feedback on a short/continuous circuit, you have to press a "function" button to toggle the sound. Again, not a big deal, just a slight annoyance.This is a small meter. comes with a basic carry case, and the leads are quite usable. Definitely not top tier pro electrician gear, but for home tinkerers, with this low price, this meter will make a lot of regular joes pretty happy.

The description says NCV detection, but this model does not. Which is the HT207a. Had to return for this reason. Other information is to read the directions to get better idea what and how this unit works.

After receiving it, I started using it. This multimeter is priced very low but has a good user experience. I really like that it comes with batteries, only two AAA batteries are needed to use it normally, and it will remind me on the display screen when it is almost dead. In addition, I can use it directly by installing the battery when I need it, without worrying about having to wait for it to be fully charged when needed, and without worrying about wasting a lot of time and delaying the completion of tasks due to charging.On the other hand, I really like that it can save data. I don't like to often take out my phone to record data during measurements, but if I don't record it, I will forget and have to remeasure, which makes me very annoyed. But this data saving function solves this problem very well.

The built-in flashlight and backlit screen are really practical! I can measure and read accurately even in dim or low light environments. For any DIY enthusiast, this is a great tool, and I believe it is precise enough for daily use
