Purchased in 2022. I only sometimes have used the luggage scale and it did work okay. Now it is 2024 and I recently attempted to use it. Pressing the on button, the scale is completely dead, not working. It uses two CR2032 long lasting lithium flat coin style batteries. Using a voltage meter, the batteries tested good. The quality of this Uniweigh luggage scale that I received had a defective issue. Again, the device does not work anymore. Very disappointed with this product.

I initially liked the small lightweight design and the back light. However, there are two design flaws.1) My issue is unlike other luggage weight were the strap can rotate, this one can not. You have to close the buckle in the right direction otherwise you either need to hold the scale reading upside down or unbuckle and adjust the strap.2) This scale hardly ever will hold the weight and when it does finally hold it takes way too long to get there.Sadly I would say this is not the one to buy.

This seems like a good scale. It is well designed, with the device itself being easy to hold onto when using, it is a good size, not overly heavy itself, and the strap is easy to attach to things with a simple solid buckle. I tried to find something somewhat standardized to weigh, and the best I came up with is a 25 pound barbell weight plate. I’m not sure how close to 25 pounds this weighs exactly, but it seemed like a reasonable thing to try. I used two of these 25 pound plates. The first plate weighed 25.6 pounds, and when I repeated it I consistently got the same measurement of exactly 25.6 pounds. I then weighed the other 25 pound plate and got a measurement of 26.6 pounds, and again got the same results repeatedly, 26.6 pounds each time. I put those two plates together, and this scale gave a reading of 53.0 pounds, and consistently gave that exact 53.0 pound result when I re-weighed the same two plates together two more times. It is interesting that the result was not 52.2 which is what I expected after weighing those two flights separately, but it is close. I tried something else, I weighed my son’s bicycle with this and then also found the weight of that bicycle by holding it in my hands while standing on the bathroom scale and then subtracting out my weight. This luggage scale gave me a measurement that was about a pound and a half heavier than the bathroom scale measurement. To check a little more about how durable this is, after seeing that it says it can weigh up to 110 pounds, my son attached this to a chin up bar and hung from the scale handle, and it did support his full weight without difficulty. I am not sure that this scale is perfectly accurate, but it seems to give a pretty good result, particularly for such a small device, and if anything it seems to err on the high side, which may be preferred especially when trying to make sure that your luggage does not exceed the allowed amount. It is very easy to use, it seems to be well built and durable, it seems to be accurate enough for its intended purpose, and I like that the results are reproducible. I see in the included instruction brochure that it is possible to calibrate this scale, though it looks like that process requires a 20 kg calibration weight, which I don’t have, but it is nice that it is possible to recalibrate this scale if desired. I suppose you could make your own 20 kg calibration weight if you had another scale that you trusted and you gathered 20 kg of sand or rocks, etc. I also like how easy the screen is to read, it is well lit, and when it is done taking a reading it holds that number so you can still see the number when you turn the screen towards you, which may be important if you might be weighing something that has you holding it up higher than eye level. This seems like a good luggage scale. I like it.

The scale is accurate to within a half a pound. It is easy to use and small enough to pack in your suitcase. No more standing on the bathroom scale holding the suitcase while having someone read the weight.

Bought this luggage scale to replace a different one that ceased to function after years of use. We are leaving for Europe in about a week, so still have not tried this scale on a fully packed piece of luggage. I might have preferred one with a larger handle; we'll have to see when we actually weigh our luggage. In the meantime, this one is so small and compact that we will probably pack it and take it along to weigh our luggage prior to returning to the States. My wife loads-up on souvenirs, so this just might save us money for having to pay for an overweight bag!
