I am an electrical engineer who always designed to have whatever it was, designed to be as intuitive as possible. I get the impression that the designers of this piece of equipment had a mantra the exact opposite. I had great difficulty even getting the device to measure/display anything and I still do not know if it is working properly. I was attracted to buy this version of a contact tach because it came with a carry case, but I have yet to successfully measure an RPM

When you need to read manual to use a tool, red flag. Read button on face of tool, labeled measure, rather than convenient thumb activated position on upper side. Lots of memory stuff that is of no use to me. Comes with two wheels and two probe ends. Wheels not marked with size. Positive is meter is programmable with wheel size and assume readout will reflect the wheel that is selected (do the math). Manual quite marginal. Price was reasonable for what provided.
