How to install Traeger board replacement?
Step 1: Loosen the two screws on the green terminal block connector located on the back upper right corner of the controller using a small screwdriver.
Step 2: Insert the RTD wire out through the cutout for the control and connect to the green connector located on the back of the new control into the green terminal block and tighten down the screws.
Step 3: Connect the components to controller according to the wiring diagram in the detail page.
Step 4: Insert the two retaining screws into the holes provided on the face plate of the control and tighten with a screwdriver, and then the grill is ready for use.
Error Code:
Er1 means RTD temperature sensor is not connected, pls turn off the grill and check the RTD connection or replace new RTD.
HEr means the grill is overheated, pls turn off the grill and restart grill after cooling down.
LEr means the grill's temperature is too low, pls turn off the grill and check if there any trouble with auger motor/ igniter/ or pellet is run out off.

I really like this unit. Only issue I had was when I put it in shutdown mode. I didn't realize how that works and started to freak out when the bowl went super-hot for a few minutes. Once I realized I could trust it not to burn my smoker up I was able to relax and enjoy it. My original unit had an issue of starting fires if not shut down correctly (factory issue), so I was used to doing it manually.

We purchased and installed. Could never get the temperature adjusted. Ex. I set it to smoke and I came out and the temp was reading almost 300°. Than it would go down to 170°. It ended up starting on fire and burnt it. It got so hot it melted the paint on top of my traeger smoker. So mad!!!!

Traeger Pro 22........ My grill just stopped working. No power at all. Did some trouble shooting with Traeger, but pretty much got the run around to finding the solution. I found this controller on Amazon and being about $100 less expensive, I gave it a shot. I installed the controller, powered it on and my grill was alive again! Problem fixed. Well, not so fast...... Now comes the problem it created. Temperatures are all over the place as far as the digital reading indicates. I started on "Smoke" and the temp went up to 300 deg. - this is not a temp that one would use to "Smoke" something at. Then I tried other temp setting and all were various across the board. I did have a IR Thermometer, so I opened the grill to check the internal temp and found it was much lower than the digital reading was indicating. At that point, I knew this was not a controller that I could depend on. Also, for some reason it would just randomly turn off and back on again. I'm disappointed that I had to give this bad review but thought it was necessary to those that might be considering this controller. Now I cant rule out that I just received a "lemon" controller, but don't want to waist my time trying another. This item was returned for a refund. UPDATE ….. Since this review, the seller did kindly offer a replacement free of charge.

Came as described, install was upfront and easy. The only issue I have is while set to 180 degrees the temp reaches 250 degrees any suggestion on how to solve the temp problem?

i removed the old thermostat/controller that ended its life and put in the new one. It comes with two meat temperature sensor and a replacement temp sensor for the ambient air in the BBQ. easy install. everything fit right. Make sure you secure the wiring in the control compartment so they dont get stuck in the fan.....

Found a Treager sitting on the curb for trash. Neighbor said it quit after a power surge. After replacing the fuse didn’t do it we decided to order the internal parts new on Amazon. This was super simple and my husband had this switch installed in minutes! It even comes with an extra fuse. Keeps temp and matches the thermostat on the grill lid.
