Great little recorder. It's small and picks up voices really well in the lecture hall. My smartphone works but it's a process to ensure it still remains recording. Sometimes it shuts off randomly and I'm not sure why. I'm happy to have something that I can use as it's own item. I record a lot of things so I am hoping it will help me be more organized with it.

The recording audio sounds like they are under water . I am so disappointed. Uts nothing like my old one . It was clear as a bell . I’m definitely returning this it’s horrible .

This digital voice recorder worked better than I expected. It picks up recordings really well and includes a built in speaker so that you can review what you recorded. It also works great as a mp3 player and had excellent sound quality while wearing headphones which was a nice touch. It feels like a quality device in hand and has a great solid weight to it, this is not some cheap plastic device. The device is simple enough to use thanks to the included display but I did have to review the included instructions to learn how to navigate the device.

I was actually surprised at just how small this recorder is. Despite its size, it absolutely delivers! The settings are easy to navigate, and the recordings are pretty clear. It's obviously not the same audio quality as a high-end microphone, but it suits my needs. I love that you're easily able to transfer the recordings to a computer so that you can keep them for as long as you like without sacrificing space on the recorder itself. Bonus points for the included wired headphones, too! They're not the best quality, but it was nice to get a pair of headphones to use with the recorder's AUX port since most headphones have shifted to wireless nowadays.

This is a great little recorder. I have a much larger and versatile older one, but it was also a $500 item back in the day. This one is about the size of a USB stick and does everything you want. It even has a clip on the back for use as a lapel mic.One might ask, "Why not just use my smartphone for recording?" Well, this is much smaller, less conspicuous, and targeted in its purpose. While it overlaps with some cell phone uses, it also has unique advantages. It is small, has a long battery life, has many adjustable audio settings, is single-purpose (won't be interrupted by other things such as phone calls), and is voice-activated. Since it has dedicated memory, it will not use up your smartphone memory.It has a small learning curve, but if you spend an hour or so with it, you can play with the settings, learn to record and play back, and transfer files to and from your computer. An adequate manual (all in English) is included that is easy to read and quite comprehensive. Once you get the hang of what the buttons do, it's easy to use. If you mess up your settings while making adjustments, returning to factory settings is easy.To connect to your computer, you just use the included cable and plug it in, using it like any other USB stick. It will appear in your Windows file manager as "USB-DISK" and be assigned a drive letter. Your recordings will be in the "RECORD" folder when you access it.If you need to record audio beyond what your cell phone can provide, this device will do the job, and it is very reasonably priced.

This is the best little recorder I've ever come across. I was able to figure out the menus and buttons without the manual (which is pretty good and has large print), and navigate through the impressive amount of options easily enough. It came with some sample Mp3 music, that I was able to easily delete once I connected the recorder to my computer with the included data and charging cable. When the record function is on, recording is immediate, unlike another recorder I have that for some reason has a seven second delay! With this recorder, there isn't any delay for recording to begin. I tested this first with the factory default settings in place and found that the noise reduction made for a pretty bad voice recording. Not a good first impression, for sure. I removed that feature and tweaked the recording quality to its highest level; that did the trick. The recording was very clear and natural sounding (my voice), with the level even. This little device has an excellent display with left and right level meters. The level meters became very helpful when I tried the line-in function. That function is really the main reason I wanted to try this recorder in the first place. I used it to record from a cassette tape player and a CD player. Very impressive! The recorded sound quality is excellent from these devices. I can now convert some old cassette tapes to a more usable format for these times we live in now. Fantastic. And easy to do, too. Also, for the quality and features of this recorder, you are getting a device for a really great price. Highly recommended.
