My 3 and 5 year old love playing with this after an adult puts it together. The purple dinosaur’s little wings constantly fall off. And our girls are a little too young to put it together and to play gently with it so as not to knock it apart.

My three year has been having a blast with this set!! He prefers the larger layout with all the pieces being used. Great design and size. Easy for him to use and he loves it!

You get get 6 balls (or marbles).Using this a typical marble/ball run is fun. The obstacles are creative, very colorful, and dinosaurs are cute and fun addition to the marble run. Kids can easily put this together in different shapes.Instructions are only pictures, no words of explanation. Explanations would help. There are some pieces that are similar but different. To put the pictured designs together you need to know the difference between these similar-but-different pieces. Example: clear, dark plastic squares. Some of these have the ball going straight through the square. Some of these have the ball going through at an angle. You're supposed to understand this by looking at the directions of the arrows in the diagrams/pictures. Yet, even the arrow direction pictured is confusing, until you put everything together and realize what's going on. Which, then, you need to take it apart to put the correct squares in the correct places. The big funnel is just not concave enough as it takes way way too long for the ball to circle and circle and circle forever before it finally finally goes into the hole. Waiting and waiting is not really that fun for anyone, let alone kids. There's a clever idea to push a button that makes the ball pop upwards! When it goes upwards it lands in the cool open-edged funnel (another cool structure item) then progresses down this funnel into the rest of the marble run. Problem though: the button you push has to be pushed super hard to get the ball to go up high enough to enter the funnel. As an adult, trying to do this several times, and each time I had to push the button five times before getting it to successfully enter the funnel. Frustrating, not fun; especially for kids. There are two white flippers. These work really well to flip the ball onward after it passes through the flipper. You do have to remember to re-set these or they don't work the next time a ball goes through. The dinosaurs are real cute! They are great decorations. Balls go into the body and out the mouths which is fun. This is a fun marble/ball run if we do not use the long circling funnel and the button.

This is awesome - so much fun! This is a well made, high quality set. I’m very impressed with it. The pieces connect to each other and the main board very well, and I have no doubt they will do just as well with the major brand (I tried out a lesser quality set, and it did fine. This set is fantastic, one of the best non-lego sets I’ve tried. It’s brightly colored, has dinosaurs and fun things to add to your marble run, is an all around fun to play with, and gives you enough pieces to be creative with (though adding to these sets makes them even more fun) along with 6 marbles. Up to this point I find no cons to it that would warrant taking away a star from its rating. I will say we have not put anything together yet (I am still on the fence about whether to give this to my grands now, or wait for Christmas…), but I have tested out the major components. There is an orange dinosaur whose mouth didn’t just open (you have to make it open) and at first I thought it didn’t work properly, but I came to realize it was meant to be that way and not just flop open - You can use that dino as a release and starting point, or just to slow things down and make him open his mouth when the marble stops there, or just keep his mouth open. You also get a yellow and purple dinosaur, each of them different, plenty of pieces to make your marble run maze have different options, pieces that will propel or knock the ball to continue, one that has a button that you place the ball next to in a clear piece which is open on the top. You can stack as many (or few) of these as you want - the harder you hit the button, the higher the marble goes! It’s so much fun (I may or may not have tested that piece out the longest) . You have to wait in between to make sure the little piece you place it on settles back down, or put it back down in its place before you do it the next time, but it did work each time. So many options. I do wish these marble runs came with more base pieces; they all don’t seem to have enough of them to really stretch out your run, but I suppose that’s where getting additional starter / extension sets come in. Regardless, this one is a must have - highly recommended!

I had to find something for my 4 year old niece to keep her occupied and this did the trick perfectly! She really likes the whole process from building, playing and taking it apart to do it again. What an awesome gift for both of us, lol!! The parts were easy for her to handle, she got interested in the engineering aspect of designing the run and with a bit of assistance and recommendations, she was so proud of her accomplishments! That's a win-win-win in my book! It's a sturdy creative game that feels safe to let her go on it alone (with eyes watching of course) and allowed her to learn what works and what doesn't, what's safe or not... it's a valuable lesson that keeps on giving and expanding her knowledge base as she continuesto try new run builds. I'm thrilled with this choice, and feel it's well worth buying. Just be aware it requires plenty of open space and a flat surface to build on. This is an awesome toy and I can totally see anyone of any age enjoying this no-tech wonder!!
