My son loves them! The cars can convert without unscrewing so our 2 year old can even play with them supervised

This was confusing to put together for me, let alone my child. Instructions need to be simplified, and needs to come pre-assembled so the child can learn by first taking it apart.Also small parts got lost in the same day.

Each of the three dinosaurs is unique in the way they look and the way they transform. They were fun to play with and entertained the children for several hours. They shared and mixed the parts to create new and different looking dinosaurs that they gave funny names to. They really enjoyed that they could be creative with them. Overall, the kids shared a fun time and expressed that they look forward to playing with this product again. I recommend this product, with the caveats listed below.Understanding the capacity of your child is key with this toy or any other for that matter. I gleaned from the verbal exchange between the children that the youngest at times didn’t understand how some of the pieces fit to change from a dinosaur into a car and vice versa, but the older children explained and helped one another, so they all learned together. For reference, the children are aged 5, 7 and 10.I believe that the age range should be raised from 3 years old to 5. This is because the toy requires an understanding of how pieces fit together or interlock and the use of small pieces and tools which a younger child could get easily frustrated trying to figure it out. If there hadn’t been a 10-year-old present, the younger ones would’ve likely asked me to help them sort things out. If the situation had been with just the 5-year-old playing with this toy, they would have been frustrated and disappointed. Also, some of the pieces like the screws and drill bits are small and require a degree of dexterity, a skillset that younger children may not have yet acquired.For these reasons I suggest that the seller mark the unit to require adult supervision and change the recommended age to 5. With a requirement to have adult supervision, that adult could then make the determination whether it is necessary to assist or to allow the children to proceed on their own and also whether the small pieces might present a hazard for their child. With corrected guidance as to age and supervision requirements, the benefit would be that both the child and parent would feel confident in buying/playing with this toy and experience a positive outcome. Otherwise, if unnecessary frustration occurs as a result of inadequate guidance, it will result in a negative experience. For this reason, I’ve given this product a 4-star review instead of 5 stars.
