Worked well at the begining, easy to use, and loud. About a month of winter use, the unlock button was stuck often. And then I forgot the code, tried to remove the batteries to reset it; didn't worked. So to unlock my bike, I cut the wire in about 2 minutes using a metal saw bought at the dollar store. So globally, a good theft deterrent but not such a handy/sturdy lock.

Lock came with no instruction for how to set the code, and the thing is LOUD...so I haven't been able to figure it out

I have never had such a trustable bike lock. The sound that comes out of it is so loud that it can be heard from 100s of feet away when it’s set off. It’s relatively sensitive and if it’s pulled on or the bike gets moved a bit while attached it sets off a warning alarm and if it continues to be messed with beyond that it sets off a noticeable alarm that would catch the attention of anybody within the vicinity. It runs on 3 triple a batteries and they’ve lasted me 3 months so far and they’ve been in cold weather the entire time. I love the digital code entry and it was really easy to reprogram because the instruction that come with it were very descriptive. If you want a great anti-theft device, definitely choose this one. I traded out my u-lock for this and I trust this device to secure my E-bike even when I’m not around.

I've had this on my tractor to lock the door, so it has been outside in the rain.Well the battery cover allowed water to get inside and corrode the battery terminals, one of the batteries died. I can't get it to reset so I'm going have to cut it off. That was a waste of $40.002

Will be using it to lock solar panel on van when we go for hikes. This thing is LOUD, and the features are great: movement of lock will set alarm off; three wrong code attempts will set it off; taking the back cover off will set this off; cutting the cable will set it off. No lock will ever stop a determined thief, but this one will deter one with the many different ways the alarm is set off. It appears very good quality. Very satisfied with this purhase.
