We ended up not using these as it was too tall in our 250 van but we tried them out and it was solid! Really really easy to click in and goes deep enough it held my ~250lb husband clambering up there

Pricey for what they are, but these are exactly the parts needed to add some headroom for the lower cot occupant while in a bunked configuration. I just wish these were included with the original cot purchase.

I bought these connectors for my kids bunks and it’s either not the correct size. It doesn’t work properly or insert into the slots of the bunk correctly. It’s too big and loose on the slots of the bunk. In the site it says it suppose to fit into this size but it doesn’t.It’s disappointing since it says it works for this specific product and it doesn’t at all. Please help if anyone has experienced this as well.

Thought they would fit the kid disco bed but did not se returned. Would like to be amBlue to get extensions for Kids bunks as the space between top and bottom bunk is a little claustrophobic.

Definitely a must buy if you want the full use out of the Discobeds!***These do ~NOT~ work for the children sized Discobeds! They are only meant for the regular, XL, or 2XL.*** With them, a full grown adult doesn't have to crouch or crain their neck (much-depending on exactly how tall the individual is) when sitting on the bottom bunk--even when there is a person in the top bunk (my husband and I tested them and while he is taller than I am, I have a longer torso). Only downside to using the extenders was getting into the top bunk. You will either need to be very agile (most kids would have no trouble scrambling into the top bunk), be long-legged (this definitely leaves out anyone under 5' whom can't climb easily), have very good upper body strength (to pull youself up or lower yourself down), or invest in a good folding step stool. My husband said that getting down was actually more tricky because he couldn't just "jump down" like a kid would, but had to carefully climb (due to knee & back issues). His comment is for mainly any guys out there, to just "watch the family jewels" when getting in or out, but that it was good that the edges are rounded. If you are using the regular size (XL or XXL) Discobeds for kids, you won't need these until they are older or taller. The Discobeds we bought are the 2XXL Cabela's Special Edition (pictured) and extenders did not come with. I know the extenders don't match, but we plan to spray paint them at some point, since they seem to work nicely.

We bought these to take on a week long camping trip, where we needed to maximize our tent space. We had a 14x10 instant tent, and due to the nature of our trip, a LOT of stuff! These worked quite well for this trip. We are both approx 200lb adults, and the cots provided a good nights sleep. We bought the leg extensions, and could NOT have done without them. I had the pleasure of the bottom bunk, and it was almost claustrophobic. I cannot imagine what it would have been without the extensions. There is a bit too much give in the fabric for my taste, too. I used a foam mattress topper for additional comfort, and still ended up like a taco, with my boyfriend sinking down over me enough that I had to roll out of bed to avoid hitting my face, when sitting up. I'd say these did the job well, no issues with the top crashing down, or coming undone, and great for space saving. They are well made and sturdy, though I wonder why the long poles don't have any locking mechanism to keep them together. The cons - claustrophobic for adults, even with the extensions, and too much stretch in the fabric.

Awesome, made a huge difference in the height of the bunkbeds. now adults can use the lower bunk and turn over in the middle of the night without hitting the person above them. top bunk is a little high for kids now, will probably need a step stool.

I could of sworn my 2 sets of bunks came with these but were misplaced. The extra space makes a big difference for adults. Younger kids dont weigh enough to make upper bunk hang too low.I used the cots over 4 weeks of camping this year. Much more confortable than a blow up matress and you dont have to worry about sliding off. The extra space does not bother using a large kodiak tent. Lots of headspace. Would recommend if your bunks dont come with these.
