It works but if the system goes into power save mode and the displays powers off, when you reactivate the computer, the monitor didn't turn on. Only after disconnecting the docking station and reconnecting it would the monitor come back one. My other monitor with a different cable had no issues. I swapped cables the issue was reproduced on the second monitor.I chose to return the item as having to power down my docking station multiple times a day is not feasible.

This is a cable to hook up second monitor. Display is average, but that could be the monitor. So I have a picture and cable meets my needs. Cable has a good quality feel to it. Connections seem tight and feel like they'll last awhile.
