First off - out of 48 5* reviews, 47 were from Amazon Vine reviewers who got the product for free. Many if not most of them are for a DP to HDMI adapter, not for this splitter. And all but mine were posted more than a year ago. Just sayin'.This splitter was better than the first one I tried, a Monoprice, but still not solid. Hoping for better, I gave up on the cheap no-name splitters, returned this one, and for twice the price bought a SIIG DP to two DPs and one HDMI. That one works fine, and the three output ports let me try various configurations to find the best one.In general, from my experience and what I'm told, Displayport splitters are not a solid solution. All of them, regardless of price, seem to have between 15% and 25% 1* plus 2* reviews. My experience using this splitter to drive one QHD and one FHD monitor on my Dell XPS 8960 was almost perfect. But a couple of times a day the QHD monitor lost signal for a few seconds. This happened whether or not the FHD monitor was also connected. Without the splitter the QHD monitor worked fine. The DP cable is only 5" long, permanently attached to the splitter, and has no latch. It dangles from the DisplayPort with the additional weight of the HDMI cables, and might eventually fail or damage the port. When I touched it, the monitors disconnected for a moment. I added a tie wrap to take the strain off the port; a short extension with a latch would be better.

This USB C to HDMI, worked with my Windows Laptop to 4k TV@ 60z and at 1080 @ 60hz. I tried 120hz on 1080 and the picture would show but tests showed that it was limited to 100-102hz not the full 120hz. The build quality is good, the casing around the HDMI port and the USB C plug feels metal. The braided cable feels nice, it is a bit stiff and will stay straight will held out, it has some flex to bend it into a U shape but will bend back into an L shape. The adapter works and I will continue to use it.

I'm an IT technician, and I do a lot of troubleshooting and some presentations. I sometimes also use and give out my cables. So when I'm out working I usually end up using the customers HDMI or DP cable. And as you guessed it, Some times I don't have the right cable to connect to the right monitor. This adapter lets me use my HDMI cable with a monitor that have DP connection only. The adapter feels great and very premium. The adapter cable is about 2ft long, making is easy to set up and plug in cables from different sources easily. The HDMI input feels good and there is no give at all. The DP male end feels good and connects securely. And of course, the adapter is plug and play, no need for drivers or anything. I can confirm it works with Windows and Linux PCs. I'm very happy with this adapter.

I am reviewing the single port DP to HDMI adapter, which as of the date I am writing this review, seems to have disappeared from the selection options to purchase on this item listing. Both ends of the cable use video connectors with all metal casings, which is a sign of a quality build. The latch on the DisplayPort connector works like it should, clicking into place when inserted, but easy to release by pressing the release button.Ultimately, this adapter cable just works the way it should. Plug it into a computer, connect HDMI to the other end and to a display, and it works perfectly, including audio when connected to a monitor or TV with speakers. The particular computer I am using this with can only output 1080p, so I currently have no way to test out the stated 4K support, but since the 1080p works, I would certainly expect 4K to work just as well.If you need an adapter like this, it's definitely a good one at a fair price ($9.99 as of when I ordered mine).

I was running a 3 monitor set up and was needing to mirror one of the monitors to a tv across the room for clients to view. I bought this device so I could split the signal from the monitor and have a cable run to the TV. I have done this in the past with HDMI splitters so I figured the DP would be no different. At first it seemed to work fine, but the next morning I came in and the screen the box was plugged in to just solid green and would not go away, after rebooting it cleared up. Then the next time I turned the TV on to share the screen for some reason my PC's fans all kicked all up to 100% and stayed that way until I rebooted (this has never happened), the following day my screen would not even boot up properly. Operating the menu on the monitor was sluggish, and would not receive any signal. I switched out cables and power supplies to the monitor but it still had the same issue. The monitor was still within the return window at amazon and they took care of that, but I refuse to plug this box in to the monitor. I sat the box away and forgot about it, now I am just a few days outside the return window so I am stuck with it. This was a complete waste of money, I am just glad that the monitors were new so I was able to replace it easily. Use at your own risk.
