While I love the pattern & beauty of the wooden handle, I need more than that to give it 5 stars. 4, yes, absolutely. It's beautifully weighted & rests nicely in the hand during use, but the twist-on nature of the head of the mallet is extremely disappointing. It works its way loose quite quickly & easily. I'll add a spot of glue because otherwise I simply LOVE this mallet for my leathercrafting needs.

I was skeptical because of the price but this hammer is just as good as the ones that are two to three times the price. It is well made, heavy and looks very nice.

I love the handle. Very nice, and really brightens up what otherwise would be a rather dull tool. The maul is a perfect weight for the size, and the nylon head is durable and well affixed to the handle. This is one of the best small mauls I have used in many years. Usually a small maul is either way too light weight for the size and forces you to use a larger maul than you want, or is too heavy causing you to become tired with fast repeated use like while using a bevel or background stamp.

This maul is STUNNING - I really needed one and had been shopping everywhere and stumbled upon this beauty and when I saw it came in my favorite color, well I had to give it a try. It’s more than pretty, it is well made, just right. Can’t wait to use it in my leatherworking!

Colors on handle are pretty. With it had more color options with the pattern. Works as it was intended. Made punching holes in the leather gloves I was making way easier and not so hard my fingers and wrists or the bending of needles anymore. I would recommend these for anyone that is hand sewing leather items over trying to push a needle through over and over again.

O am a professional leather tooler and saw this on Amazon for a great price and decided to purchase it. It is now my main tooling mallet. The weight is good and it has held up very well. Never has come loose which many other brands may do.
