Maybe for light descale work this is OK, it doesn't stink as bad compared to others. Got a case to clean Steam table wells and followed directions for application. Worked but not anything to write home about. Tried in a steam generator and let soak overnight. Barely softened the scale inside tanks and had to manually descale. For what it is I would suggest Scale Kleen instead for something non toxic and slightly more effective. There are stronger descalers available that require much more PPE to use. say Cleveland Descale or Noble Lime B Gone. These work well but can darken stainless on contact if not cut with water. They can also give you instant chemical burns so working with this requires ventilation, rubber gloves up to elbows, a rubber apron and eye pro.
