At the price, these are a great deal. In the spectrum of silicone and plastic ribs, these are on the softer side. I like to have a blend of different rigidities to have on hand, and a bigger collection of soft ones is nice.They're well made with a consistent flex. The molding quality is adequate. You can feel the slightest bit of a mold seam on the edges of them that you tend to not feel on pricier ones. In using them so far I haven't had any issues because of it, its just something I can feel. I suspect a little use on groggy clay is going to smooth them out, anyway. I might shy away from using them to compress a slab because of it, but they're a little small for slab compressing, anyway.In general, though, its a great generic set of ribs you can't go wrong with.

The Pottery Ribs are a bit on the soft side, but they come in different shapes, which are convenient for throwing. I use them to smooth the bottoms of pottery pieces, selecting the rib with the right curves and angles for each piece and gently pushing down to shape it. So far, I’ve found it very satisfying to pick the right rib for each task. The price is excellent, and they work as expected.
