This is a hand saver when restringing a djembe. Good for the first tightening, and some of the second. No instruction for how to use it.. Looked it up online.

An oldie but a goodie. Comfortable rope pulling for the 'tightest' of situations, sturdy and compact.

Wasn't sure how sturdy a plastic rope puller would be. Pleasantly surprised! No rope burns, cramped hands or difficulty getting a grip. It just works and works well. Fits my hand well and feels great. When I lose this one or some random drummer liberates it from me I will definitely buy another.

It was a little rough around the edges and I found my hands getting cut/irritated. I sanded the seam down smooth and now it works great.

This was exactly what I needed, and worked perfectly to make the drum tuning job much quicker and easier. The plastic was smooth and gentle on the hands, and the grippy teeth kept a strong hold on my 5mm rope. ( Being meant for max 3/16" [4.75 mm] I was worried it would be too small for my 5mm rope, but to release my rope from tool I only needed to push backwards on tool while holding rope in other hand and it let go with little effort!)ps...This was sold by World Percussion USA, in association with africaheartwoodproject.org

This little devil works great. It has a cleat with an s shaped opening, and in actuality is a small lever. The rope gets looped into the cleat, and as you pull a rope, there is a small notch on the opposite end of the tool that holds the rope from sliding to the left or right, and acts, again, as a lever, as you rock and simultaneously pull the rope tight. It sounds more complicated than it is. It is incredibly simple and well conceived. You can def pull a drum much quicker, tighter,and no blisters, sore hands and finger joints. This tool is great, and very small. It doesn't have any hard edges to poke you in your pocket. All and all, this is the reason why I pulled a huge drum with 80 plus verticals in under 45 minutes, and it is super tight, right off the rip. It is also makes rebalencing a catty wompus skin easier. Best hand drum tool I own. It is stong, lightweight, ergonomic, smooth, and small. It has a lanard hole, or could be used with a foot pedal set up for pulling the slack out of ropes. This little tool is awesome, and does exactly what I needed it to do, the first time I used it. Great addition to the hand drummer, drum maker.
