Ring size is perfect for my needs, 2.5" as stated in the title, not 1.5" listed in the description. However, they won't open without force as the hinge side has a manufacturing defect. When you finally get them open, the latches don't realign to click closed. I expect better quality from DMC given their brand recognition in needle crafting.

Some of the rings do not open easily - they are very stiff, and almost seem as if they are not supposed to open.
