Do it, you won't be disappointed, I'm going on the second year of some hard riding and it's doing great. I've ridden shocks that are three times the price with marginal improvement.

Bought as an experiment to try on my current bike (before the new one arrives) - as previously mentioned below - the bushings on this shock are 23.8mm wide and they need to be 21.8mm to fit my bike. I removed 2mm from each - the bushings are aluminium be careful not to squash them wile working on them. The shock is now on the bike and looks the business - fortunately the bike comes with a 550lb spring which is the recommended spring for me at around 85kg (90kg dressed with back pack). Initial feel is really good and it will take some time to dial in I am sure. I have already increased spring preload to reduce the initial sag.Overall pleased to this point with my purchase -- could have got it for less from China but decided I was happier going through Amazon.

Background:I bought a used 2010 Trek Fuel EX-5 off of Craigslist to start getting into mountain biking last year; everything on it was in excellent condition except the Fox Float RP2 shock, which was in need of a full rebuild. I was quoted at $145-$160 to have it rebuilt. At that price, and knowing air shocks are higher maintenance in general, I decided to look for something else. Seeing that the DNM Burner-RCP2S would fit* and was cheaper than rebuilding the RP2, I went for it.As of this writing, I've done 20-25 or so 8 mile rides on bumpy terrain and I am very satisfied so far! When ascending, I roll the rebound dial fully CCW and achieve basically a full lockout. Before I begin a descent, I roll it back CW 7 clicks for a plush ride.Positives:-Easily Adjustable: Rebound, Compression, and Spring preload are all easily adjustable and responsive.-Low-maintenance: No shock pumps, no blowouts, no rebuilds after 50 rides.Negatives:-Rebound not easily accessible while riding: I have to reach really far down to adjust it, not easy while moving.-Heavier than an air-shock: this doesn't matter to me, since I'm riding for exercise anyway.Overall, for the price point and value, this shock gets 5 stars from me because it does exactly what I want it to do.*I measured widths and machined spacers to fit
