this is good size and quality, goes on well without catching easily. it's not too heavy but is still very durable

I originally bought this for my 15lb small frenchie. But she was a bit too small for this. So we gave it to our 25lb. Thick pug and it works great for him! Very durable, thick, but not too heavy our Frenchie is just very dainty.

I have a bunch of older slip chains which are like heavy stainless steel jewelry, rolled flat, shiny, lovely, strong. For the last eight years, all I've been able to find is cheap crud.These are a very welcome return to that quality of yesteryear. It's a lighter chain, but still heavier than most chains this length, and has the attractive rolled-flat design of quality jewelry chain. My only peeve is that the rings are a lot lighter weight than is normal for a chain this size.All told, though, if you're looking for a high-quality slip chain, this is a good one.

First off, you can feel how light and cheap the metal is.The cheap Walmart metal chain collars are much better quality. However, considering I ordered this for my small-ish dog… it works because it’s not extremely heavy so it won’t weigh her down.If you’re looking for a chain for a large or strong dog, I suggest you keep looking if you don’t want to chase your dog down the road

We ordered the largest size available, which was 26". That worked well for our female Anatolian, but was a little snug for our male. With such big and strong dogs it is important to have a hefty, durable collar for training! This qualifies. I was very pleased with the weight and quality of the collar - the links were smooth, and every part seemed durable. Some chains "catch" on dogs' fur, but not this one.I do not leave choke collars on them when I am not training for their safety, but this collar was exactly what I was looking for. Now to find a similar one that is 28" long...

So far this is working well for my lab. He’s a bit over 80lbs and we are working on relearning to walk nicely on a leash. This has been a pretty good training aid so far. It was a bit heavier than I expected but my dog didn’t seem to care. This is definitely one of the more sturdier chain collars we have tried. Usually he is able to pull and bend the links.
