We were storing things on top of the kennel for a while. It was all working fine until the puppy decided to pull a jacket through the bars and shred it when we took too long one night when we went out to dinner.This item turned the top of the dog's kennel into a very aesthetically pleasing table and keeps the dog from pulling through things and chewing them up.

I am a bit disappointed with this item. Although the box was not damaged, the topper had been dropped or mishandled and was damaged on one end. I probably should have sent it back; but it is a large item, and would have been difficult to return. I hope I do not regret not making the effort.Beyond the damage the topper is ok. It appears to be laminated particle board, not wood. It does make the kennel less of an eyesore. I replaced the Velcro fasteners with 2 inch round anti-skid self adhesive pads. The Velcro fasteners provided were awkward to install.

This really entranced the look of my bedroom! First of all, putting things on top of the crate doesn’t look so cluttered any more. Secondly, the color is very nice and it blends in to my room. Also the corners are rounded so you won’t ever hurt your self. Lastly and most importantly, it’s very sturdy. I recommend!
