I have a 12 week puppy that weighs about 16 pounds and wanted to get his first harness to start trying it out with him and get him used to one. Since he's still just a baby, I wanted one that didn't seem too overwhelming so I thought this one with just straps and not a big chest piece might be nice. It's a nice looking harness made of good materials and I like the design where the rings hold the buckle together in case the buckle fails. It is not very easy to put on him for some reason and he's not too crazy about putting it on. Once it is on him, he doesn't seem to mind it and seems to be able to move freely. I had to tighten it to almost the very tightest it would go and it still seems to fit a little oddly. Not so bad that I can't use it, but it just seems not a nice fit. Maybe I need to play with it some more. Also, since the pup is still little, his leash is very lightweight and the clip part is so small that it won't clip on to both rings at the same time, so I had to rig something up with another split ring to be able to do that. So, something to also think about if you have a leash with a smaller clasp piece.

Tiffpaws Striped Puppy Dog Harness Dog Vest Harness for Dog Training Easy Walking Dog Harness Small Dog Harness Escape-proof Dog Harness (orange, S) (S, orange)I ordered this striped puppy dog harness for our little Pomeranian in a size small, orange. The orange is quite bright and the harness is adjustable. An ex-breeder rescue, she has been difficult to measure but I think neck is approx 16", chest 19". I've messed with adjusting so it fits properly--still not sure it's right. She is a back sleeper and having a few problems with the twin D ring buckle system being a bit bulky. Once we get it sized correctly, may take off when she's in the house.

I am happy with this harness for my young puppy. There are some things that I would change about the amount of adjustability on the harness. It would be nice to be able to adjust the length of the strap that goes over the back of the dog. I found the front of the harness was sitting a little low on my puppy's chest and adding adjustability to the back strap would work to fix this issue. A second problem I had with this harness was that the strap running through the dog's front legs again isn't adjustable. This could also play a part in the harness sitting low on my dog's chest. I think for these reasons my dog is able to slip his head and legs out of the harness. I have the harness tight enough on him and he shouldn't be able to get out of it if it fit correctly. The buckle seems to work well, is nicely made and it should hold up over time. With all of that said I think this is a good option for a harness but has the potential to be great.

This is a well made, super sturdy harness. In my opinion, it's ideal when harnesses are designed so that the rings where the leash is attached actually hold the buckles together. This design is incredibly safe and there's virtually no danger of the harness failing because the plastic buckle breaks. I followed the chest measurement for my dog and the small is supposed to fit a 15 - 20.5" chest. He's a 13lb chihuahua/beagle mix and has a 10" neck and a 16" chest. He's also a tripod. Unfortunately, this harness is way too big on him. It's also way too bulky for a dog his size. He just doesn't need straps, rings or buckles as hefty as these are. Maybe the XS would have fit, but I didn't want to risk the harness being too tight. My point, in my experience, it runs big. Great harness, but if you're at the lower edge of a size range, size down.

This harness is cute, vibrant, thick, and well-made. I have an 8 lb Yorkiepoo and though it fit well, it is a little loose in the chest part. I pulled it as tight as it would let me, but it still was loose (and I keep his shirt on him while wearing. I would have liked to have been able to tighten by the buckle - it is just one that you clamp. The loosness is not a is not a huge deal since I can still walk him while wearing it. It is comfortable for him since it it thicker than his others.

It is easy to take off and put on. It fits my three month old chihuahua perfectly. It is not durable and after three months of use it got tattered.

It is too tight on the top and to loss on the bottom. It doesn’t fit for the second time.
