Update, seller reached out and sent replacement product. See photos with model that is straight on base and the metal rod straight on actual skull. The pictures are all jumbled up for some reason. This time the skull was properly drilled and everything is straight. Wooden base still needs some work but that’s easy to fix.The skull itself has some good weight to it, the wooden base is like partially finished but I will have to do some sanding and finishing to make it presentable as this is a gift. Now back to the actual skull it looks good and has good weight. However, whoever drilled the hole for the metal rod made it crooked. There’s no way to mount this on the base straight and drilling the actual skull to try and make it straight is just too risky. Returning this and possibly getting the same quality is not an option as like I said this is a going away gift and now I’m stuck possibly just filling in the hole and not using the metal piece to mount the skull. Better quality control would have been great.it gets the two stars for the actual skull, minus one star for base finish, minus one star for the crooked drilling on actual model and minus one star for not being able to use the mount as it was designed for. Can actually just make it a one star review as this is very frustrating getting a gift for someone thinking you don’t have to do anything but instead have to do something in order to make it work for what you intend to do with it. Includes a wood stand the skull is attached to with two springs.The springs allow the dog to open it's mouth making it a good piece tostudy the anatomy of the dog skull.I am using it for sculpting, but still have to learn the anatomy in the process.Using Monster Clay medium grade.Also, using optical eyes.artsahobby789
