I am writing this in 2024 as this Six-Socket Surge-Protected Extension Lead with Individual Switches, 2 metres in length, by Masterplug which I purchased in 2021 is still going strong.Individual switches are particularly useful since you can switch on just one appliance but still leave other devices plugged in but not receiving electricity unnecessarily. Nowadays, it is not always easy to find a socket extension that is surge-protected AND individually-switched but it is worth the trail.It is crucial to buy electrical plugs, sockets and extensions from reputable brands and not run the risk of damage to your wiring or even a fire on account of saving a few pounds.Recommended. 5 stars.

Delighted to now have an extension lead without an additional cable needing to be plugged in for surge protection; reducing wires needed.I appreciate being able to isolate any one product and having a 6-gang leaves a free socket for occasional use.The 2 foot cable is a little long (the 1 foot was a bit short), but necessary for retrieving the extension from under my unit. A one and a half would have been perfect, but that is just a wee niggle and can be easily rectified.A really good value purchase and quickly delivered.

Let's face it = you need more sockets than outlets at various points around your hose. So you need extension leads. This is quality made with 6 outlets , with surge protection. What I like is the switches - so you can simply turn off sockets you don't need continuously: such as laptop or phone chargers or any other gadget. I don't think this will save much in terms of money - but it's nice not something is off rather than either leaving on all the time or having to unplug/plug-in all the time. Decent cable and the switched light-up so it's obvious which outlets are on and which are off. I have brought two of these and they are great when you need an extension and have access to the outlets : as in some instance you may extensions behind , say the tv, which are awkward to access and in those circumstances I think a non-switchable (& cheaper) extension lead will be way to go.
