Plastic and flimsy cover. I cannot use it. It takes more work for me to get the leaf rolled then it is for me to manually roll it. The flimsy cover kept getting tangled and not easy to use.

First impressions are that it felt a bit flimsy. It is primarily plastic construction, actually the cloth feels kind of like polyester, and the feet are rubber so it might be 100% plastic? It's unclear how well it will hold up to use over time.On the other hand, I don't make dolma on a daily basis and it seems like it will hold up against periodic use.I made 20 dolmas and packed them in olive oil in the fridge. That will last us a month at least.Make sure to fold in the leaf a little tighter than the opening over the stuffing, otherwise you will tear the leaves when rolling. You do not want to do that because any starchy rice that escapes will stick and foil your next attempt unless you fully wash and clean the device first. Note that I've always made dolma from cooked rice and blanched leaves so it might work better if you are doing the boil method with uncooked rice in the stuffing. It seems that getting the filling amount exactly right is the primary skill you will have to learn to effectively use this device. The plus side is that it does help you make the dolmas a more consistent size which is nice for presentation purposes.

I love it. Great for dolmas and cabbage rolls! I sped through a batch in no time! Dishwasher safe on top rack.

This is a nifty little device by PeSandy that will help you achieve your status of Domestic God(dess) through your amazing kitchen creations. If you love dolmades or other little sausage-shaped stuffed masterpieces the world has been gifted by the Mediterranean, Levant, and Middle Eastern countries, you need one of these devices! It helps the rolling process of the dolma-making process. While it is a bit tricky to get it done right and know exactly how operate this roller, its definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

I've made my own dolmas for years - we have a lot of wild grapes and some commercial ones we planted, and I don't like to waste any parts of the edible plants, so I often will gather stacks of them, roll, tie, blanch and freeze them until I'm ready to use them. Once they're frozen and defrosted, they are actually really easy to roll by hand. This roller is kind of tricky to use, but it can work okay if you master the exact size leaf and amount, as well as the perfect textured leaf that wraps neatly. I briefly blanched fresh leaves and then followed their online instructions of not using large leaves or too small of leaves. I pushed a medium leaf up against the starting point, then filled a small amount in the center, and slowly rolled. If the leaf is too wide or too soft or too hard it can fold poorly or get stuck, but if you get the right size and consistency it can fold quite neatly and work better. So I think it requires some practice. The plastic construction isn't super sturdy, but I don't think it will break either. I think it would help if the manufacturer or seller posted a video that goes into more detail about how to make sure the dolmas roll well.

First off, it is super flimsy, I think it would really help if it were made from higher quality materials. Instead of really saving time I frequently had to pause with my dolma making to get it unstuck and fix a completely busted up dolma, it would have taken just as long rolling them by hand, so it works about half the time but not very well
