The main product description (title) describes this product as "DFi" compatible. D-Fi is trademarked and proprietary from Chauvet, so this shouldn't be too surprising that this is false. But even so, I tried this with a Chauvet D-Fi Hub. Nothing that I tried could get this to work with the D-Fi Hub. Again, no great surprise. Even so, it's false advertising to claim these are "DFi".The rest of the product works, and the other reviews cover that accurately so I won't repeat that here. It's hard to overlook the false advertising, hence the 2/5 star rating.

Works really well right out of the box. I did have some difficulty from time to time getting them to link until I realized they need an active DMX signal to sync up. Knowing that, I have zero issues now that I know that. Should have read the manual. It’s in there.

I have been using this set for wireless DMX for years now at countless events and they are 100% reliable, absolutely fantastic. You may get unexpected behavior (such as flickering etc) if the power path to your dmx appliances, transmitter, or receivers are not properly grounded. This, of course, is not a fault of this product, rather it is an example of how improper grounding can effect electronics. Usually the dmx receiver power cable will be plugged into a dmx appliance, so just make sure the power to that dmx appliance is 3 prong and properly grounded. I share this information just in case anyone sees erratic behavior with this set; just properly ground all components and it will work flawlessly!

Great quality. Straightforward setup. Excellent aesthetic. This set accomplishes all my needs in the entertainment industry. With up to seven channels you can take your layout from the basic needs of a small gig to large scale performances without a hassle, just match the LED colors of transmitter and receivers for each universe.During my show, I had no complaints with the signal range and there was no lag whatsoever. You do need a power connection for them but the power chords are long enough that you'll be able to get a clean visual set up, plus no more DMX cables and not having to buy batteries is already a deal-breaker for me. So far, very impressed with the build quality and performance of these bad boys.

Works. Sometimes it is frustrating to get them to connect after they have been shut off, or if the light board gets shut off. the lighting fixtures I'm working with may be causing the difficulty. Sometimes they randomly flicker. I now just keep the transmitter and receivers on to keep from having connection issues. I dont turn them off unless I know I'm not going to be using them for awhile. Other than that, they seem to work great.

Setup was a little rough getting the units to communicate - after setting transponder and receivers to the same LED color (wireless channel), it seems I needed to power off all the units by unplugging their power cords and then plugging then back in to get them to actually start communicating. But after that, they've been working great! I set up a number of DMX scenes via my DMX controller and switching between scenes seems as instantaneous as with a hardwired DMX connection! I'm now free of DMX cables! Although I do need power connections for the transponder and each of the receivers. To bad the DMX protocol doesn't provide power (like USB), but that's not Donnor's fault. Oh well... :)

Super simple to use, great range, a delay that can only be measured in milliseconds, and versatile. Did you know that all sticks are send and receive?? No joke! You just stick a male to male or female to female adapter on these things to get what you need. For what this kit costs you would only get a single receiver from other name brands that make dmx lights. They work extremely well. The only drawback is needing to plug them into power so if the light fixtures you use have an Edison power out you're golden. However, if they have an IEC power out you either need an adapter or a wall outlet. At the same time, I've found the best application for these is to use them in wired groups. So, need to gap a door with uplighting? Don't want to run dmx cables from your booth to a remote light stand? One less wire that you don't have to run up the side of your truss? These are perfect to get that wireless transmission for those situations and then use dmx cables when you can.
