Unleash Your Car's Brilliance: Unrivaled Safeguard with DooNos Clear PPF

Protect Your Car with DooNos Clear PPF

Like an invisible shield, DooNos Clear Paint Protection Film (PPF) wraps your vehicle, safeguarding every inch of its paint while maintaining that brilliant high-gloss finish.

How to Achieve a Bubble-Free PPF Installation

Follow these steps to ensure a smooth, bubble-free application, especially on curved surfaces:

  • Thoroughly Clean the Surface: Ensure the car's paint is completely clean and free from dust, dirt, and grease to prevent bubbles and enhance adhesion.
  • Use a Soap and Water Solution: For curved areas, spray a mix of water and soap. This will allow for better positioning of the film and help release trapped air during installation.
  • Preheat the Adhesive Side Only: When using a heat gun or steam gun, focus on heating the adhesive side of the PPF to make it more flexible. Avoid heating the outer protective layer, as this can cause damage.
  • Apply Gradually: Start at one edge and press the film down slowly with a squeegee, pushing out any air and moisture as you go. Avoid working on large sections at once.
  • Avoid Overstretching: On curved areas, apply just enough tension to mold the film naturally. Overstretching can lead to bubbles when the film contracts.
  • Work in Sections: For complex curves, applying the film in smaller sections can help you control the process and reduce the risk of air bubbles.
  • Use the Squeegee Correctly: Always start in the center of the film and move outward to expel air bubbles, ensuring a smooth application.

By following these steps, you'll achieve a flawless, bubble-free PPF installation, even on challenging curved surfaces.

How to Install DooNos PPF

DooNos Install

Step 1 - PREP

Clean the paint surface and spray installation fluid or soapy water on both the paint and the protective film.

Step 2 - Laying PPF

Lay the film flat on the paint surface, adjust its position, and secure the edges or critical areas. First, rinse off the installation fluid in that spot to enhance the film's adhesion. Then, use a squeegee to smooth and secure the film in place.

Step 3 - Squeegee Bubbles

Remove excess installation fluid or soapy water. Proceed to install and secure the adjacent corner. If there are any bubbles along the edge, add a bit more water, stretch the film, and then squeegee out the excess water.

Step 4 - Trim Edges

Roll any excess film from the edges inward. You can use your hands or a towel to roll it up. If necessary, use a small knife to trim any overly long edges of the protective film. Finally, allow the film to set for at least 8-12 hours.

Follow instructions on the box, wash vehicle then use isopropyl alcohol to wipe down planned section with micro fiber, have a big spray bottle of water and use plenty of it. Once it's positioned, squeegee and spray water for the squeegee to smooth out airbubles, dry and smooth out remaining air bubbles with another clean microfiber,, put your elbow grease into it. ENJOY... :) Let it dry in the sun a while if possible. 24 Hour dry.

This film is thick and rigid. That's a good thing, right? No. I've used several other protection films with great success. This film simply will not conform to even subtle body contours (like the hood of my Outback). After two frustrating hours of attempted application, the product ended up as a gloppy wad in the trash can. There's no stretch and impossible to get bubbles out. This might work on completely flat body panels, but any slight curve will defeat the application.Caveat Emptor!

I put the stuff on my front headlights to stop rock chips, Road debris and bugs. It almost feels like a thin gel that can repair itself. Pretty solid stuff

It's flexible, adaptive... It was easy to work with. This is a three-layer film. One must be removed before installation, the other must be removed during installation. This is not the cheap two-layer film that is usually sold in the market.

This was a struggle to apply. There's very little flex to this at all, thus it's really hard to get rid of bubbles, and really easy to create them. I'm not the most experienced with these products, so this could be in part user error, but I'd probably not buy this again.

This is a 6" width roll of paint protection film, and polyurethane is more durable than some of the cheaper vinyl PPF on the market. That said, at 6" wide, it's not something to use to wrap your car. It's clearly meant for putting behind wheel arches to protect paint from kicked-up rocks. Or to put behind door handles to protect from rings and fingernails.Still, it's a decent PPF for what it is.It's not self-healing like good PPF is, and it's not ceramic-coated or ceramic-infused like good PPF is, but that good PPF is many times the price. You get what you pay for, and for this low price, this stuff works.7/10
