This door latch appears to be of good quality. Delivery was timely and price very reasonable. Installed it very quickly but the locking mechanism would not function correctly if the door holding screws were tightened too tight. After figuring this out it worked perfectly.

Used this on a 99 Dodge 2500 pick-up. I got the drivers side replacement. Installation was fairly easy to get into place. The inner door piece does have to be removed, then you work through a couple holes to replace. Not bad, I could get my hand in there to release the wire clips. Remove 4 solid wires and 3 bolts and remove the door lock mechanism. You can pull it out through the bottom, then you can disconnect the electrical connection. Now, the hard part. At least for me. Once installed, I checked it out before I replaced the inner door cover. When I locked the doors, the passenger side door locked and the driver's door unlocked? Same when I unlocked, Drivers side Locked, Nice! Should send it back. But I removed the two wires from the lock electrical connection and reversed them. Now, it works correctly. Another thing is, you have to make adjustments for the outer door handle to open the door. Mine wouldn't work. The good thing is, there is a small hole to put the allen wrench into to loosen the bolt and make adjustments. Done, now the door opens from the outside. I found out the next day, if you lock the door with the door switch, then close the drivers door, the door will not latch correctly. Not sure what's up with that. It works fine if you close the door before locking it. I do not know if it works with a fob or not. I do not have one to test, I have to find them. As for longevity I have no idea, it's new. But it is less than 1/2 the price at truck shops. I have not seen any reviews that spoke of the door locks problem. But I would probably check other units out before I purchased this one or any one.

After 21 years the most used door latch on my 2003 Dodge RAM finally gave out. This is a great inexpensive replacement. Install was easy too.

Door actuator worked great for about 1 year and a half and then stopped working. Thought it was the wiring in the truck harness as dodge pickup rear doors have issues between the door and frame wiring that breaks but fixed those and still didn't work. Put the original in and door lock works. Not sure if mine just wore out prematurely or if they just don't last long.

I bought this a few months ago using Amazons fit my vehicle feature. It does not fit my vehicle not even close. Of course I took too long to actually tear into my truck to discover this and Iām outside my return window but for the next guy save yourself the hassle, this does not fit a 2010 dodge 2500
