This string tree is a good 2-3mm lower than the stock one on my Tagima J bass, especially since it doesn't have grooves cut out for the strings to rest in. I was a bit worried that the strings would move around side to side, but it isn't an issue in practice. It looks great and matches the rest of my black hardware.
