AC system too expensive to repair. Put this in place of compressor to keep same belt. Nice save!

Seems to work as expected but a real pain in the arse to replace in a 3800 Series II, especially if the guard underneath has never been off which is the only way to access one of the bolts unless your made of rubber or have some tiny tools and arms Reserving judgement because I have had some issues with Dorman products in the past

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. the ac compressor got real noisy, so I ordered this and put it on. a friend suggested that I take off the ICM mount to get to the top 2 bolts for the compressor removal. I should have done it that way and it would have been a lot easier. for the bottom bolt, I removed the bottom body piece, and access was a lot easier. the bypass kit came with a hardware kit, 6 spacers, a washer, and 3 bolts. the directions said if the kit came with a hardware kit, that it would need to be used. I did not use it as the ac compressor was installed on studs, and the spacers wouldn't fit over the studs. I still have the hardware kit just in case, but after a week of driving, with some heavy acceleration, the pulley and bracket still feel solid.
