Bought these for something entirely different than their intended use. I'm using them on a mount for a fence we're putting up around the trash cans. The wall mount has a verticle little post that I slid these down on to to prevent the mount and the fence from rattling or moving and it definitely works. Like my headline reads, they are solid! Very sturdy.

Just writing this review to help fellow ranger owners. I couldn't find one locally and took a chance that this would fit. I can now confirm that this grommet fits a '97 Ranger with the 3.0 engine.

Fits perfectly, replace that old dried out grommet that causes vacuum leaks and wastes gasoline.Be sure to replace the dried out vacuum hose from pcv to the intake manifold.

It's a rubber grommet - pretty tough to mess those up. In my case, I used it as a replacement grommet for the hood pins on my 2012 Dodge Challenger and they are a perfect, tight, weather-resistant fit.
