Seemed to have a better sensor than OEM, the wires are certainly better quality! Restored coolant pressure, unfortunately enough to the point that my customer found they had a prior-made crack in their head gasket. Sometimes, you gotta find out the hard way. Great reservoir though. Super recommend.

The plastic hose barb on the coolant reservoir in my 2008 Volvo XC-90 broke off, leaving the coolant hose lose. Normally, this would mean having the car towed to the shop because you can't drive very far leaving a trail of coolant on the road, and then waiting for them to get the part in and get a busy technician on your car.To find a quality part at a good price available overnight is so convenient! I already trust Dorman - I do a lot of DIY auto repairs so I've already got some Dorman parts in service in my cars. The problem happened late Sunday morning and this part arrived 5am Monday morning and I quickly installed it before work. Plus, Dorman improved this part over the factory original - the part that broke is now lined with metal.Installation is pretty easy as long as long as you cover some pre-requisites in your garage. You might need to add a few more things to your cart while you're covering the overnight or same-day delivery threshold. The original hose clamps that need to removed are the crimped kind that need to be snipped off, you'll need a tool that can cut through metal stronger than just a wire cutter. You'll need to pull the broken plastic out of the end of the hose with a small screwdriver and needle-nosed pliers. You'll need to bring two of your own hose clamps to reattach the hose. You'll need whatever buckets and drip pans you can fit under the car because the coolant is going to drain out everywhere when you remove the lower hose. Most importantly, don't forget to have a bottle of new coolant to fill it back up - don't count on being able to cleanly recover all the coolant.

It fit my xc90 perfectly! My brother installed it for me and said it was very easy. The reservoir came with the sensor attached and has metal stems to reinforce the plastic. My old one didn't have them and the plastic broke clean off. Great value!
