Was sent a used part with broken plastic pieces and the sensor wasn’t even attached to the synchronizer and it looks like it is a used part not even a dorman. Has ford part numbers on it.

I bought two of these. For my 2000 & 2003 FORD windstars and they fit perfect and made both cars run a lot better. easy to install.

My 2001 Mustang started squeaking under the hood. At first I thought it was one of the pulleys. It's okay to run the car stationary for a very short period of time without the belt. I did this to see if the squeaking was still present. It was. That ruled out all of the pulleys. Atthat point based on my research I determined it must be the camshaft synchronizer. I ordered this part and installed it myself. I took many pictures of placement of the old synchronizer with and without the sensor attached to make extra sure I installed this in exactly the same position with the exact same placement of the little metal tooth under the sensor. DO NOT JUST TAKE OUT THE OLD AND INSTALL THIS NEW ONE. You will screw up the engine timing. I took out the old and sure enough it squeaked in hand when I rotated it. Installed this one and the squeak was gone!!! Beautiful. Has been working for 6 months now.

This part fixed a terrible squeak in the engine that sounded like it was coming from the water pump. The part comes with an alignment tool that makes replacing the Camshaft Synchronizer very easy. If you have a squeaky Camshaft Synchronizer, this part should solve the problem.

We bought a new used Ford Freestar that immediately started dying @ idle. Hubby did some research and decided the camshaft synchronizer was the problem. It was cheaper on amazon than any of the local parts stores. Hubby said it was a pain to get to, but installed fairly easily. No more dying @ idle!
