This perfectly fit my daughter's 2003 Honda Civic.It was relatively easy to install. Just watch one of the many YouTube videos walking through the installation.FYI, it turns out the switch was the part that was actually broken. So you may want to also order the switch to be on the safe side. I had to cover the window while waiting for the switch to get here the next day.I decided to keep this motor assembly, because at this price why not replace the 20 year old one while I had the door apart.

I have an 03 Honda Civic . I replaced the passenger side window reguator about a year ago, no problems. I now have to replace the regulator on the driver side. The Dorman 741-300 appeared to be the ticket. But after dissassembling everything from the door frame, removing the regulator assembly, and replacing with the new one, I found that the two bolt holes on the window base did not match those on the regulator unit. Spacing on the window is 4" center to center, and the matching holes on the Regulator unit are about 4-1/4" center to center. There is no way in hell to match these holes up...... So im not a happy camper. I hate the return and replace process, especially after being led to believe I had the correct part. So now I am wondering if its Dorman 741-742? WTH guys

I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX (Coupe), my window fell inside the door last week, and after opening the door compartment, I've seen the wires that are connected to the slider are lose. After doing some research, it turns out it is a well known problem with honda civic 01-05 line, since they have some weak plastic parts holding the heads of the wires.I've bought this part to replace the regulator and it fit and worked perfectly. And rather than having a mechanical, I believe you can do it on your own.I would like to explain how it is done, but there is already a really helpful and descriptive video on youtube with the title 'How To Install Replace Front Power Window Regulator and Motor Honda Civic 01-05 '. The only difference in my case was the location of the screws near the window controller. In the video, the screws are accessible after you remove the part under the window control panel. In my case I had to remove the upper portion of the panel (the part that has the window controllers on it). To do that, first unscrew the (vertically placed) screw on the panel in the middle of the cavity next to the controllers (It might have a small cover on it). Then, use a clip tool to detach the panel, pull it from the front and slide it to the front slightly but be careful to not pull it too hard/far since it has a connector underneath. Remove the connector and free the panel from the door. The two screws mentioned in the video are placed at the center and the corner of the revealed area ( the one in the corner was occluded by the cloth, so gently pull the cloth to access it).My only complaint with this item is that the product information page on amazon (like many other products) is not very descriptive as some of the comments mentioned. You have to do your own research before buying it. It ONLY WORKS WITH COUPEs and it should be clearly written.
