This Dorman OE FIX replacement regulator incorporates cable tension springs to resist cable reel binding. This part is compatible with the following vehicles. Before purchasing, enter your vehicle trim in the garage tool to confirm fitment. [Ford F-150: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008] - [Ford Lobo: 2004, 2007, 2008]

This part fits and works perfectly in driver door for the 2005 F-150 in super cab "Scab" doors. That is the style with back half-doors that open opposite direction from front doors. I see a lot of fitment complaints due to ignorance of door construction in the different cab styles.

Doesn’t fit my 08 f150 xlt 4x4. My door didn’t have the secondary hole either to mount the bracket had to return and order different part.

Watch a YouTube video on changing out the window actuator and everything is pretty straight forward. Seemed to be a quality replacement and all worked well when finished. I’m sure I saved a fortune over a dealership repair.

You need to compare your top left mounting bracket on your vehicle to this one before ordering. The bolt hole is in the wrong location. I have an 04 F150 with the suicide rear doors, the newer style that year. Everything else is the same except that top left mounting hole (closest to the edge of the door on top.) Mine (on the ground) points upward. The one half way sticking out of the door in the pic is the new part and that mount points downward. I had to send it back. Everything else is the same. If your wire on the track isn't broken just replace the motor itself and save yourself the hassle. This is the SECOND one of these I've replaced in 2 years. It's not as good as oem it doesn't feel right when rolling down and doesn't do the auto-roll down either. It slightly rattles too (bolts are all in and are all tight) it's just the way it's made it's not tight and strong like the oem one.

Super easy to install and it worked perfect. Dorman makes good quality regulators. A few visual aid pics would help deciphering where the extra electrical patch cord adaptor went but I eventually figured it out.

Pareil comme l'original et fonctionne très bien rien à dire pour l'instant fait exactement ce à quoi elle est conçu! Je recommande! Mais ça prend de l'expérience pour l'installation sinon gare à votre vitre!

I bought this for my 2004 F 150 Super Cab XLT. It is exactly he right part for this truck. As others have stated, it took longer to take off the door panel than remove the broken regulator, and it took longer to reinstall the door panel than it took to install the new regulator. The regulator I got had a pigtail included to plug in between the regulator harness and the truck harness. This is required in 2004-early 2005 models so the window operates in the correct direction with the window switch. One tip that may help you not freak when testing your new regulator....when I installed the regulator, tightened down the window glass to the regulator track, I wanted to test the operation of the regulator and window switch before installing the door panel. I plugged the harness pin into the door panel switch assembly, pushed the button, and....nothing. No up, no down, nothing. Key on? Check. Try again, nothing. The driver side armrest switch panel also has a window operation "lock-out" button, I guess so the other passengers, kids, dogs, hostages, whoever, can't lower the window and bail out. I plugged this pin switch in and everything worked just fine. All is well again. I gave four stars only because this is a fresh install, but I have used Dorman regulators on two other vehicles in the past couple of years, and all are still operating fine. BTW, when I checked at local brick and mortar stores, this same part, from Dorman, was $150.00 (or more) "we can have it in a day". Sorry guys, I'll wait a couple more days for $80.00. I ordered on Tuesday night, it got to my house in So. Cal on Friday morning. Happy and weathertight again.

The part was an exact fit and went on easily. I went on YOU TUBE to learn how to take off the door panel and regulator. You need some mechanical skills but not much to replace this part. It was reasonably priced and did the job. I would highly recommend this company and part. Wish the original and this replacement would not have used so many plastic parts on key areas, but then again it would never break. My original motor was fine, it was the plastic parts that broke. I saved hundreds by buying this part and repairing it myself.
