this is a exact O.E.M replacement part looks just like the original part that was installed 20 years ago at the factory !This was way simpler than I thought it would be , and I've heard some horror stories regarding window motor replacement ! once you have the door panel off , take the speaker out 4 screws (for more access) after that its 4x main 10mm bolts on the motor , 2x 10mm side support bolts & 2x 10mm window track lock nuts , pull out of bottom track (not side) pull up tape window with strong tape all the way up (use a lot) pull all other 10mm bolts holding window motor in and then pull out old motor (use the bottom left hole in door for motor removal) , & put the new one in its place , line up and thread the two side support 10mm bolts first (leave half way tighten) , then line up the main motor bolts and tighten them down in a X pattern top left - bottom right - top right & bottom left , then tighten side support bolts down , Now carefully untape window slide down slowly and place back into new bottom track thread the 2x track lock nuts and tighten them down , besides putting the door back together and hooking all the harness's back up your all done

This thing is junk. The motor is half the size as the factory, with half the power, and the bolt holes are not threaded like the factor so you can't even bolt it in. I had to drill, and nut and bolt this garbage in place in order for it to fit in my 2001 Dodge 3500 1 ton pickup. DON'T BUY IT!

The original screws do self-tap into this regulator. Removal/installation (after the door panel is removed) took approx. 10 minutes. Only issue during installation was the attaching the short bar upside down - it only goes one way correctly. There is a 'key' on the short bar that fits into a hole next to one of the screws on the door. I missed noticing this and installed it upside down. When running the window up/down, it catches at this point, making it obvious that something was installed wrong. After noticing the hole next to the screw, I removed the 2 screws and reversed the short bar. Works nice and smooth now.

Passenger side works as expected. 5 StarsDriver side had a bad motor. 1 StarI purchased this in 2015 and just now 4/2016 got around to installing these.Amazon won't take back the bad one. Now I'm Hosed.UPDATE: I called Dorman on April 15 directly and they were very nice. They fwd'd my concern to their manager that deals w/Amazon.Presto ! Amazon shipped a new one and it arrived on April 17 "Sunday", and sent me a shipping label for the defective unit.Truck is repaired everything works perfect.Hats off to Dorman and Amazon for a job well done. Five STARS
