I replaced the passenger door on my 1993 Ford Ranger Splash. The junkyard door had a manual crank window, and my original factory regulator and motor would not work. I bought this and installed it with the glass that came with the junkyard door, and it worked perfectly. I already had a large rivet gun from Harbor Freight, and it is needed to install this unit. You must drill out the rivets of the old regulator before installing this. It worked perfectly. Clear packing tape to hold the glass in place is a big help.

Over all, I'm happy with it. It is missing one bracket the factory regulator had but that doesn't seem to be an issue that I can tell. I ordered the Dorman screw and rivet kit and chose to use the screws. One thing to keep in mind is that it is easier to get, what will be, the top right screw in with arm in the full down position. Then you will want to put a piece of tape on it to hold it in place, use that as your first guide screw. Then run the arm in the full up position and slide into door, put glide on windo track and get first screw through.Once all screws and nuts are in place, tighten them all up using a stubby philips on the back. Because I had to drill out the rivets from factory, total time spent was less than an hour. This motor isn't as strong as the factory motor was, and you can hear it, but it works well and seems to be solid. I'm thinking that I may just buy the Dorman rivet gun is my drivers door fails. It would be easier than fishing screws through. Good buy though. Worth the money.

I ordered this part as an upgrade for my truck without power options. Obviously it required more than the regulator and motor but once I had the whole project done the windows operate just as I expected them, quiet, smooth and fast. This item was about $25 cheaper than my local autozone and who know knows how much cheaper than OEM autozone was. Anyway I'm glad I checked here first, saved me some good money.

The regulator was received very quickly. The installation was very simple (except the moungting bolts were not included, but I had suitable ones in my shop bolt collection), and the item fit and works flawlessly. This is a good-quality replacement for a defective stock regulator.

I bought this unit and I am very happy with it. It was zinc plated, the factory unit was not. Fit perfect, slightly smaller than the factory unit which made it easier to install. Did not come with mounting hardware, but I just used four 1/4-20x1/2" screws with lockwashers and nuts. It arrived before the ETA. The price was less than 1/2 of the price wanted by the local parts stores. Great price,good fit free shipping, works like a charm.
