This drivers door inside door handle fit great and was easy to install. It says it is black but it is a chrome finish like the original. I always look for OEM first but it was not available. Have used it for a year and still works fine.

I installed this on my 1981 El Camino. It works great! I read a complaint that said it did not fit...one of the prongs on mine, was at a slight angle that needed to be bent to fit the slot in the door. A slight bend, in a vise, and it fit perfectly...I considered that a minor inconvenience, considering all the other work I did. I replaced the latch assembly at the same time, and it now functions like new!

I purchased this for a 1985 Chevy El Camino. The product looks identical, but the bracket which is meant to rivet/bolt onto the door frame isn't exactly the same. This project has a longer dimension between the two tabs that slide into the door so its not usuable without drilling new holes. I ended up disassembling my broken handle and replacing it with parts from this handle, leaving the new brakes for the trash. Otherwise works great now. So a nice product but not an exact OEM replacement fit.
