DO NOT attempt to use a hair drier. it won't get hot enough. A Lighter is just plain dangerous and wil melt the nylon. Use a real heat gun, makes it a snap.

The 5/16 In. Quick Connector with the Nylon Tube was a better price & available rather quick. This product installed after removing a leaking issue. Once installed, it was a bit of issue to heat up and also used a coupling but worked okay.

I had to return, but made well.

Wasn't done in the photo, but I even repaired the non-repairable fuel line! Ha!Jeeps have terrible factory disconnects, this replaced them. I will say, these are extremely hard to push into the lines of you don't heat them up a tad.

Worked perfectly along with the 3/8 size and Dorman unions (800-193) to replace the hopelessly blocked factory connectors on a 2005 Chevy Avalanche fuel pump that had rusted away.

Was able to fit with ease. Delivered promptly. Can't rate durability since this I will know in time.

My installation was a 1996 Dodge Ram truck. The fuel tank is under the bed requiring removal of the bed itself. A huge pain and effort but managed regardless. I suggest purchasing the little fuel line clamps just in case you have to do some other adjustments and cutting. Small price for piece of mind. Otherwise works fine.
