I ordered this Dorman 84765 3-Terminal Lamp Socket to replace the front turn signal/parking light socket on our 2002 Ford Excursion. The parking light/turn signal assembly must have a break in the housing, because it has filled up halfway with water, with the result that the lamp died, twice in two years. At the first failure two years ago, I thought it was the seal at the socket that leaked, letting water in to the light housing, because the seal on the factory original socket looked questionable. I replaced the socket with a Dorman 84765 3-Terminal Lamp Socket. Now, at this second failure two years later, the seal looked fine, so it must be leaking along the top seam of the signal assembly. However, having been immersed in water for several months, the socket was sadly corroded. Thus I purchased another new Dorman 84765 3-Terminal Lamp Socket replacement. Both this socket and the one I installed two years ago fit perfectly and work perfectly. These are very good replacements, and I am happy with these parts.

Amazon says this doesn't fit a 2001 Ford F-250 but from the picture it seemed like it should be the exact replacement for the front blinkers so I ended up ordering it. Glad I did because it's a perfect fit!

This part also works for a 2000 jeep xj front turn signals. Plugs right in. Fits the same 3157 bulbs as the oem. Will work for other models of jeep as well.

Yes it says "Ford" but Works on the JEEP Grand Cherokee Limited 99-04 -- Suggestion to the fitment of the 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited "Directional Signal Socket" use your old gasket if it isn't broken. This will ensure a smooth fit, save the new one in case you need it, just saying, swapped gaskets and its a perfect water-tight fit. Signals work perfectly now after experiencing a short in the OEM socket... extremely easy to replace. YouTube is your friend with headlight removal on the 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited as well. Good Luck all.

For years I've had an issue with the left front turn signal on my '97 Jeep Wrangler. None of the online forums were much help and the local Jeep dealer couldn't figure it out. Really? Anyhow, I once again made a concerted effort to figure out what the problem was and decided to try a search on Amazon. I happened upon a review from another member with a '97 Wrangler who had the same issue. Apparently the OEM socket is subject to internal corrosion which will interupt the circuit. The aforementioned member recommended this part. Funny thing is, Amazon says it won't fit my Jeep but I orderd it anyway and guess what? It was a perfect replacement! I also order the Standard Motor Products S682 Pigtail/Socket from Amazon to go with the new socket. Also ordered and recommend Sopoby heat shrink solder connectors for a water tight joining of the wires. Bottom line: About $25 worth of parts from Amazon and 20 minutes work fixed a problem that's plagued my Jeep for years. Works so good I went ahead and replaced the right one as well.

I recently purchased led bulbs that are a bit longer that standard 3157 bulbs. Because of this, they would come into contact with the brake light lens and the socket wouldn’t lock in. I needed a socket that allows the bulb to sit lower and this Dorman part does just that. It’s labeled as a turn signal socket for my 2000 Explorer, but it connects to the harness of the brake light and has the same tab pattern. You can see that the original brake light socket on the right places the bulb higher than the turn signal socket on the left. This is because the incandescent brake lights are constantly on and require more space away from the socket or it’ll melt. Both bulbs are led, but the one on the right is the same size as an incandescent 3157. I wouldn’t use regular incandescent bulbs with this shallower socket, but I’m sure my led bulbs will be fine.

Exactly the same as my original that was damaged in a wreck. Fixed me right up, great for customers that are tired of their old burnt connectors that are brittle and damaged. I would recommend this to anyone. Great quality, great price, fast shipping! What else could you ask for? I will be ordering a lot more connectors in bulk on Amazon to have handy around the shop because I have customers all the time with burnt and melted connectors and the parts stores want around $40 a piece for every connector and then get lost in the mail before they ever get delivered. I have never had problems like that with Amazon. Everyone should start buying their replacement connectors on here, trust me, I'm a mechanic ;) 2012, 2013 Ford Master Diesel/ Gas Technician
