Worked well for replacing the sockets on my 1976 Ford truck that were rotted and brittle. Fyi, the wire colors are NOT the oem colors on the 70s for trucks, so make sure you either test before you make it permanent, or you take care to ensure to match where the wires are in the socket between the old one and new one and you should be fine.

On a 1978 Ford F-350. Of course, the wire colors do not mach, as stated before. Matched the wire to the positions on the sockets, crimped them on and they worked fine. They fit into the stock turn signal housings, just like the stock sockets.

It to long for a 1987 ford truck, I had to make a hole behind it so it would fit

I used this lamp socket to replace a faulty socket on my old 70’s model Ford F150. I soldered and shrink tubed the connections to make the connections stronger and longer lasting. I additionally applied dielectric grease to the socket to repel moisture prevent corrosion. The socket worked well and fit like the factory one. Would buy again.

Quality item, bulb fits, and works, wiring colour varies with make/model of installation but really doesn't matter. I feel this unit completely solves the electrical mayhem I was experiencing in my 1978 F250.

I bought two of these to replace both front turn signal sockets on my 1978 Ford F350 truck. The wire colors don't match up to the factory wires, but that's not important (unless you're doing a factory restoration, but then you wouldn't buy a non-Ford part if that were the case 😏).These sockets have a pre-installed foam pad for mounting against the back of your signal lens, and they seem to be built very sturdy. They even have the red crimp on butt-connectors pre-installed on the wires. Just cut your old wires off near the old socket (one at a time to keep track of what wire goes where) and install the new one.Remember to apply a generous amount of dielectric grease to the entire body of your new 1157 turn signal bulb and to the socket, to keep corrosion and rust at bay. This is especially true on the small ground tang of the socket that contacts the side of the bulb. Those are what rust out first, hence the need to replace these sockets in the first place.Long story short, you won't be disappointed with this socket.
