My truck was running horribly, would die at idle, was throwing lots of error codes. My mechanic finally discovered the OEM one had failed and was leaking into the wiring harness. He tested it by disconnecting the old one and the truck started using default map and started running normal again. Then we ordered and installed this si the truck would operate better and it works great.

Well I thought this would be a cheap and effective way to save some money instead of buying a Motorcraft oem. I was definitely wrong!A day after I installed this part I was getting codes for the Icp being to high at start up. I cleared the code and it would pop up again. Truck would hard start and idle rough. I unplugged the sensor and the truck would run better. My second time testing the Icp, the top broke off after I unplugged it. I put a Motorcraft Icp in and truck runs great now. Maybe this was a bad batch from Dorman.

Bought this for my 1997 7.3l and works good for a few months then all of a sudden truck started cutting out.. had to tow it to ford find out this dorman part failed and leaked oil everywhere. Just stay with an orginal motorcraft.
