Jacked up front axle in the middle to make space for the new ones. Took out the old scrap bumpers, whatever was left, with a small plastic handled pry bar. Slightly cleaned out space for debree. Put new ones in Slightly at an angle. Used small pry bar again to wedge in new ones at the edge. I'm very happy. Fixed something myself again. Made my 01 Dodge Durango better myself

The rubber installs best if heated by a heat gun, or torch to warm to the touch at installation. If not it resists the compression into the bracket.

Seemed to fit in snug which is good but my only issue was they were a bit of a struggle getting them to stay in but once they were in good it was a snug fit so I’d recommend getting these if you want a less bumpy and more smooth ride .

One side was missing and this was all that was left of the other side (see picture). Easy to install, highly recommend spraying silicone lube on end of bump stop and cup that holds in place. Little elbow grease to get it in there. Very secure fit and noticeable difference in the ride. No more bottoming out! I'll need to adjust the lift and get alignment so it doesn't rest on the lower control arm.

These really made a world of different in the handling of my 22 year old 4x4 Durango. She’s been my winter and haul baby for a long time now, and after installing new shocks and replacing bearings, ball joints, and a few other things. We noticed going over bumps in our dirt roads was still pretty rough. After installing these based on recommendations through off-roading forums, and some groups on social media. I have to admit these really do improve the overall feel and handling of such an old vehicle. The old ones that we pulled off. Well, what was left of them after pulling off were just totally broken down from years of use ( obviously) and oils and dirt. Really worth the small investment and time to maintain your old workhorse of a truck/suv handling as nice as possible. Very well worth it.

These were the bump stops for my 2002, Dodge Durango 4x4 with the 4.7L engine. They pushed into the mount easily and seem to be working just fine. Make sure to keep your bump stops in good condition to prevent costly bottoming out of the body against the suspension.

this bumper seems to be built a little better then the o.e ones.my original ones were almost chewed down to the metal cup that holds them in.i used a straight screw driver to pull the remains of the old ones out.it might be easier to pull the wheel off but i dident,i cut the wheel as sharp as it would go to get to them.i had to pull out the jack and jack the durango up by the frame on the passenger side to give me clearance to get that side in.took me 15-20 minutes to do both sides.havent drove it yet to see if it makes a difference.the bumpers do have a end that is slightly bigger, this is the end i put in the cup.i seen the tabs others talked about but i did not try to bend these as i figure under driving it around should seat the bumpers.
