Dorman swears up and down on their website that the 911-266 is the only evap canister they sell for the 97 pathfinder. The 911-266 canister part number DOES NOT come with the new evap canister valve attached to it, it is just the canister. Typically the canister valve fails along with the canister. Dorman part number 911-480 is the EXACT same part as this canister but it also includes the valve with it and costs only $176 USD as opposed to the 911-266 canister that costs $211 USD for just the canister. As you can see in the photos the 911-480 canister is the EXACT same part as the Nissan OEM canister I removed from the vehicle. I have installed the new part on my rig and drove over 200 miles with it on and the CEL is still off, which tells me the canister and valves for it are working as they should be on a 97 pathfinder despite dorman saying the part is incompatible with the 97's. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THE CANISTER AND VALVE SEPARATELY!!!
