When an exhaust manifold fastener breaks on certain GMC, Chevrolet, or Hummer vehicles, repairing it conventionally usually requires significant labor, up to and including removing the cylinder head. Maybe my leak was too far gone, but this did nothing. 4.8. ltr 09 silverado was ticking due to broken bolts on ehaust manifold.

Broke an exhaust stud off in the driver's side head of my LS2. It was in a really tight place. I tried vice grips, welded a nut on the broken piece (5 times), pleaded, begged, barganed, and nothing worked. I didn't want to pull the head to take it to machine shop, but I was at that point. I found this thing by chance and it worked so well I forgot I even put it on. No exhaust leaks, good fit even with aftermarket headers. Comes with necessary hardware. Very well made.

It works! If you’re having trouble bolting it on to your cylinder head, try unbolting the manifold and moving it around. It has a little play and may just need to be pushed down a bit and then the clamp will fit. What a life saver!

These Dorman clamps are worth every penny!!! I put this clamp of a 2004 suburban with a 5.3 litre and it work perfectly. Side note: this clamp is for the centre of the manifold, not the ends.

Awesome bracket, very well made . I had a broken exhaust manifold bolt which I wasn’t able to extract so I came across this bracket, and thought why not I’ll give it a shot. all the holes lined up exact and extremely easy to install took no more the 5 minutes. So if you have a broken exhaust manifold bolt and don’t feel like drilling the stud and using a extractor or can’t get the rest of the stud to come out, this is the way to go. WHAT A TIME SAVER WORKED FANTASTIC!!!!!

Trust me, stop trying to drill and tap cylinder head bolts on Chevy motors 4.8 5.3 in 6.0 l. If it's an older vehicle that may not have too much time in this world... Or heck even if it does, these simply work and they work well. They are reliable, durable and easy to install and I would have paid double for them.
