03 Drurango 4x4 4.7. Was having an occasional misfire with no check engine light. Decided to replace the crank sensor. Crank and cam.sensors should be done together, so I bought this. After installation, misfire is gone, but truck is throwing a code indicating an intermittent cam sensor failure. The connector was difficult to get on and nspection reveals this to be made a bit off center. Fortunately the cam sensor is far easier to remove than the crank sensor. Skip the headache and skip this garbage...unless you want practice taking the cam sensor in and out.

I purchased this for a 2004 Dodge Durango 4.7l. It did not fit. The pins were too far apart and I had to purchase a local one at a higher price to get the vehicle running again. Not recommended for this vehicle.

The sensor fit well in the block but the connector was hard to plug in compared to OEM. Wouldn't start with the dorman sensor. Swapped the new o-ring on the old sensor and it started fine.

So I bought this sensor off amazon for my 2007 Dodge Durango 5.7 Hemi. I was having some major issues with the truck, and had multiple codes. One code was a P0340 for the camshaft sensor, so I went here bought a few weeks ago. Put it in one day, which who in their right mind designed the location of this this...but after putting this sensor in, I couldnt get the code to clear at all. This morning I went to my local Dodge dealer and purchased an OEM sensor, replaced this one tonight, and codes are gone. engine is running great, quick start up, no strain on the starter, I learned this lesson twice on this truck, had the same issue with an oil sender switch. So my lesson would be dont bother with Aftermarket switches and sensors...go to the dealer and get OEM, it was only $5 more than online pricing.

Product seems to work, but getting it installed sucked. The factory connector didn’t fit until I cut the plastic alignment tabs completely off the new sensor. What the heck! I should not of had to do that. There mold is only off a little bit but enough that it won’t plug in without some modifying. I would suggest if this doesn’t sound like something you want to do avoid this product.

I replaced the cam sensor and crank sensor on my wife's 01 4.7 durango. The crank sensor a different brand than this fit perfect. This one the plug did not fit and prevented the pigtail from clicking on so no start. In the second pic you will see two plastic prongs on each side of the center metal prong. The replacement part is made with them farther apart than the oe one and the connector won't go on. I was in a bad situation and needed my truck to run so I cut them out. Not easy used a sharp small knife and needle nose plyers. After the plug was properly seated the truck started. I've had problems with dorman suspension parts in the past should have not taken the chance.
