Your cart is empty.The original brake dust shield on certain Ford, Mazda and Mercury vehicles requires removing the entire axle shaft to replace. This Dorman OE FIX has a two-piece design to simplify replacement, and corrosion resistance to extend service life.

These were easy enough to replace. I ended up grinding a hex key (allen wrench) down to fit between the hub and bolt head so I could loosen the bolts that hold the old shield on.

Dorman always makes top-notch parts. Their Help Me! and Conduct-Tite products are excellent. These backing plates saved my girlfriend's '07 Ford Escape. Easy to install (once you get to them, and boy do you have to take EVERYTHING but the kitchen sink off to get to them), and should out-last the car. Hopefully the rust-resistant coating survives many PA winters to come.

Excellent product I purchased it on the 15th Dec 2020 it arrive next day.I installed it on the 19th It work perfect.Just a hint for D.I.Y.Remove one of the wheel studs,in that way you will have easy access to remove the bolts on the old backing plate which is 8.mm Hex
